My 25 year old son was diagnosed with DC on July 8, 2011. My son is a daily inspiration to me. He has a positive attitude and tells me everyday that he is going to be fine. He is growing his hair to donate it to Locks of Love before he has his transplant. He is also appearing on local television to encourage people to come to the drives we are hosting. He says, "it's not just about me mom." Although, he needs a BMT, and has no match, he is hopeful that we will have one soon. I am hosting several Bone Marrow Donor Drives in Southern California, not only for Damian, but for others who are awaitng a transplant and do not have a match
