My youngest son, Owen was recently diagnosed with DC. He's been in Scottish Rite in Atlanta for the last 2 months. His RBCs, WBCs and platelets are so low it was scary. It took so long to get a diagnosis and to get him stabalized and then he ended up with a virus, (CMV). It's been really hard. He's been sick his whole life. We are testing his older brothers to see if they are a bone marrow donor match and if they have DC also. We're still really confused about all this. I'd like to hear how other families are dealing with this disorder.
